Kalam Neale
Kalam Neale is an award-winning educational leader, innovator, and changemaker at the forefront of digital transformation and esports education. As Head of Education at British Esports Federation, Kalam has pioneered new approaches to learning that bridge the gap between traditional education and the rapidly evolving digital and creative industries.
Recognised nationally with the Pearson National Teaching Award for Digital Innovation, Kalam has co-authored a suite of groundbreaking esports qualifications in partnership with Pearson, the Leadership Skills Foundation, UK Coaching, and British Esports Federation. These qualifications have now been studied by over 20,000 learners worldwide, redefining pathways into careers across STEM, sport, business, creative, and digital sectors.
Kalam has played a leading role in the development of esports facilities across the UK, including the world-leading National Esports Performance Campus, helping to establish the UK as a global hub for esports education and performance. His work has not only inspired a new generation of learners but has been a catalyst for collaboration between education, industry, and government.
In addition to his leadership role at British Esports Federation, Kalam also serves as Director at Strategic Esports Group, Governor at Barnsley College, and Board Member at both the CIMSPA Skills Accountability Board and Sunderland Expo. He is also a Trainer and Podcast Host with Pearson, where he shares strategic insights and best practice with educators and policymakers internationally.
With more than 15 years of experience in education, leadership, and curriculum innovation, Kalam is a sought-after speaker, consultant, and event host, known for his inclusive, innovative and forward-thinking approach and his ability to connect people, ideas, and opportunities.
