Tattoo Art Skills Part-time Thursday eve
If you want to know more about becoming a tattoo artist, our Tattoo Art Skills Introduction course is the perfect way to explore the creative and expressive world of tattooing.
This programme will introduce you to the skills needed to develop a portfolio for personal and professional use. You will gain knowledge necessary to help you apply for apprenticeships within the tattooing industry, and you can continue your studies through the Tattoo Skills Advanced course, starting in January 2026.
What you will learn
The course will focus on illustration and drawing skills required for professional tattooing. Sessions will cover the history and skills of the tattooing industry and help guide your personal vision and development.
Through this development you will be able to apply your ideas for tattoos and build your own skills. All materials are provided as part of the programme. The course explores traditional and contemporary design ideas drawing from Japanese and Western influences.
Please note: this course will not cover tattooing instruments or tools, this is an artwork based course with a focus on skills need to create designs for tattooing.
