Legionella Risk Assessment Part-time
Course Overview
Legionella Risk Assessment Part-time
Our Legionella Risk Assessment and Water Systems Disinfection for Mechanical Services course is designed to meet the requirements of the revised Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) and Guidance: Legionnaire’s disease: The control of Legionella bacteria in water systems, and the technical guidance HSG274 Part 2: The control of Legionella in hot and cold water systems (HSG274).
Though the training is primarily aimed at practising plumbing operatives who already have knowledge of hot and cold-water systems, it will also be appropriate to water inspectors and others who are involved with the maintenance and management of a water system.
The disinfection of cold-water systems is work that can be carried out by competent plumbing operatives. This course aims to ensure operatives have the knowledge and skills to undertake the disinfection process.
The training course will cover the disinfection process, including a practical examination on a purpose-built test rig by which the tutor can illustrate how disinfection should be carried out.
