Education and Early Years Level 3 T Level Full-time
Studying this T Level helps you learn skills like working with others, observing and understanding child development.
You’ll do a 45-day work placement per year and improve your Maths, English and digital skills.
There are two pathways available to study. These are the Early Years Educator Pathway and the Assisting Teaching Pathway.
Course content: Early Years Educator Pathway
• Complete a minimum of 315 hours as a work placement over two years
• Communicate information clearly to engage children and young people
• Work with others to plan and provide activities to meet children and young people’s needs
• Use formative and summative assessment to monitor children and young people’s progress to plan and shape educational opportunities
• Assess and manage risks to own and others’ safety when planning activities.
• Support and promote children’s play, development and early education
• Develop relationships with children to facilitate their development
• Plan, provide and review care, play and educational opportunities to enable children to progress
• Safeguard and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children
• Work in partnership with colleagues, parents, carers and other professionals to support children’s development

Support the class teacher to enhance children’s education, individually and in groups
Plan, provide and review educational opportunities in collaboration with teachers and other adults
Safeguard and promote the health, safety and wellbeing of children and young people
Recognise, adapt and respond to individual children’s needs, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), to support development and access to the curriculum

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.
If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
