Cybersecurity Level 1 Award Gateway (Online)
The Online Cybersecurity Level 1 is designed for those wanting to learn about cybercrime and effects it has on individuals and organisations.
This single unit qualification provides understanding of the routine protective methods used to maintain cybersecurity, including the principles of vulnerability and penetration testing and user access control. You will be introduced to new terminology, industry relevant scenarios and subject matters surround cybersecurity and cyber awareness.
This course can be studied in your own time from home – all you need is access to the internet. You will have access to regular support from tutors.
If you would prefer to study this in class, you can apply for the Cybersecurity Level 1 course.
The course will run through blended learning online for 10 weeks and should be completed within the time frame around the assignment dates set within the course. The delivery of this course is over Microsoft Teams, for which a login will be provided.

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.
If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.
If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
