Bookkeeping AAT Level 1 Part-time (Monday, flexible start dates)

The AAT Access Award in Bookkeeping is ideal for beginners to develop bookkeeping skills and knowledge. The course introduces manual bookkeeping techniques and covers a range of bookkeeping skills. Gain confidence in bookkeeping or lay the foundations for higher AAT qualifications and a career in accounting.

The qualification covers a range of bookkeeping skills and relevant supporting knowledge which will be assessed by one end-of-qualification exam.

Key areas of study include:

  • Understanding the role of the bookkeeper

  • Understanding financial transactions

  • Process customer and supplier transactions

  • Process receipts and payments

How much does the course cost?

This course costs £225. You will also need to register with AAT. Registration costs are payable directly to AAT and this will give you access to study support resources for the qualification lifetime. More information here https://www.aat.org.uk/

Having good English and Maths qualifications are important for most careers and we want to give you the help you need to succeed.

If you are aged 16 - 19 and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths, you will automatically be included in your study programme. If you want to work towards achieving a higher grade in English and Maths, we can help you do that too and we offer Level 3 Mathematical Studies (Core Maths) which maybe added to your study programme, subject to approval from your chosen department.

If you're aged 19 or above and don't hold a grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths we can help. We offer FREE English and Maths qualifications that can be studied on a part-time basis, subject to eligibility.
