Discover new hobbies, learn practical skills and meet like-minded people through a wide range of part-time courses starting January 2026.

Learning doesn’t have to be about exams or qualifications. Our hobby and interest courses are about discovering what you love, connecting with others and feeling inspired.

The courses - which range from Art classes, Makeup tutorials, Street food cooking, DIY, Photography and Sewing - are perfect for anyone who wants to try something new, express their creativity or simply take time out for themselves.

Learn for enjoyment, creativity and wellbeing

Open to those aged 19 and over, these short courses offer the chance to learn in a relaxed environment, guided by experienced tutors who are passionate about their craft.

Many of our students join for personal enjoyment, while others develop skills that lead to freelance work or further study. Along the way, students gain confidence, make new friends and experience the benefits of learning something new.

Join a creative community

Courses are held at the College’s centrally located Barnsley campuses in specially equipped spaces and workshops. Sessions are typically held in the evenings or at weekends, allowing learners to fit their courses around work and family life.
